ENOUGH!

Who are you, Now? This question was asked at the end of my Pastor's message Sunday. Who am I and what lies have I believed, to not believe who I truly am?

LIE: Not Enough!

Not enough, you wonder.... Yes. I believed the lie that I was not enough. Not enough as a Wife, Mother, Friend, Daughter, Nurse and Follower of Christ. I found myself striving to accomplish more and consistently telling myself I'm not doing enough, I need to do more. So, I fill my time with more "things." Because in my mind if my schedule is full than I'm doing the MOST I can do and that's good enough right? If I fill my families lives with plenty of activities and materials than that is enough. If I work above and beyond and have a full work schedule that's enough. Right!? Does DOING more make me enough? NO, I still felt that I was not enough. Why!? Because at the end of the day I lay in bed and think about that one thing that I did wrong. That one patient that wasn't happy, That one moment my husband and I had a disagreement, That one moment I let my kids have too much time on technology or unhealthy food. I take all these things and beat myself up for them. So no, I am not enough. I am weak, Right?

What is the truth?

Who does God say I am?

2 Corinthians12:9

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. 2 Corinthians 3:5 It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God. Proverbs 31:25 She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. Isaiah 41:10 Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, Before you were born I sanctified you, I ordained you a prophet to the nations. TRUTH: I am A NEW creation through Christ. The old ME is dead and the NEW ME is alive. God has placed within me the qualifications and strength to be all I need to be! Jesus bridges my gap between inadequacy and God’s Sufficiency. I AM enough through Christ! It does not matter what man/women say. All that matters is what.... GOD says! (insert your name), You are Enough! The song above says: I'm already loved, already chosen, I know who I am, I know what you've spoken! Repeat it till you believe and understand it! God has spoke, You are enough. He formed you, He called you. He has placed His spirit within you and anointed you to walk in FREEDOM! There is NO worry and anxiety over what more can I do, IN FREEDOM!. God HAS placed all you need to be: WITHIN YOU, THROUGH the STRENGHTH of CHRIST. Rest and Walk in the Freedom of Christ and know YOU ARE ENOUGH! By: Amy L. Melancon
